Details of Services and Costings as at October 2007
I am happy to discuss a proposed website for any individual, club or society as well as small business sites. Businesses will be charged by the day rather than a flat setup rate for individuals and clubs or societies.
Design Ideas.
I will look to the client to provide me with ideas about the style of site required and the content for the pages (including graphics where they are site-specific, e.g. a club logo or illustrations from books*). Ideally I would like material supplied on disk or as attachments to emails as this will speed the creation of the site.
Pricing Structure
Creating a site from scratch.
GBP £50 development/creation of site style (all clients).
GBP £50 per day spent on creating the initial pages of the website (businesses only).
I estimate that making the pages will be at the rate of 1 day per 2 x A4 (this does not imply that the content of one full page of A4 = one web page).
Site maintenance.
GBP £30 per day per update (businesses only).
GBP £40 per quarter (3 months). This assumes just routine updates or a maximum of 7 days per quarter. If more then 7 days per quarter, a charge of GBP £25 will be levied in addition to the quarterly rate (businesses only).
Redesigning an existing site.
This will depend on how complex it is and how many pages the site has and thus I cannot provide a price here.
Web Space
I can arrange web space at a typical cost of as little as GBP £0.99 per month from the UK-based company Supanet at www.supanethosting.com/web-hosting/hosting-packages/ although there are many other options which may be better value for your needs.
What is a domain name?
To give you an example, The New Chalet Club has a domain name of www.newchaletclub.co.uk, which is a lot easier to remember than its old address of http://users.powernet.co.uk/tanquen/index.html.
Site accessibility is important to me, so any site I create will have text links in it. If you don't want any text links in your site, you've come to the wrong person to build it.
Feel free to investigate any of my websites listed in the Websites section of this site to see examples of my work and please use my Contact Form to ask for further details.
